🎶 In the sixth tip of D365 F&O, D365 with Brittany shared with me--batch job history! 🎶
Viewing My Batch Job History In D365 F&O
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) provides history on all batch jobs run in the system. As an end-user, you can see the history of batch jobs you initiated.
To see your batch job history, navigate to the Common module and select My Batch Jobs under the Inquiries > Batch Jobs menu item.
What Can I Find In Batch Job History?
Monitor Job Status:
Batch jobs can have various statuses, including "Waiting," "In Progress," "Completed," or "Error." Monitor the status to ensure that your jobs are running as expected.
Batch Job Details:
Click on a specific batch job to view its details. This page includes information such as the job ID, job description, scheduled (or submitted) date/time, actual start date/time, and end/date time. You can also find information about recurrences, if the batch job was setup to run more than once.Â
Batch Tasks and Details
The Batch tasks section of Batch Job Details will provide valuable information, such as the parameters users to execute the batch job, and a log to identify any issues or errors that arose during the batch processing.Â
It is important to note that even purchase orders that have Ended successfully may have encountered errors, depending on the batch job type. It is important to always review the log and take any necessary actions to resolve.
