Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) provides copy and paste functionality that allows users to copy data from one record or form and paste it into another. This functionality is designed to streamline data entry and improve efficiency. 

How to Copy Data

Copying Data: Users can select and copy data directly from fields within a form by selecting the data to copy. 

Pasting Data: After copying, users can navigate to another record or form and paste the copied data into the corresponding fields. 

Dynamics 365 F&O supports keyboard shortcuts for copying (Ctrl+C) and pasting (Ctrl+V) data, providing a familiar and efficient method for users.

Copying Data Between Forms

Copy Data from List Pages: In list pages or grid views, users can copy data from specific records.

Paste Data into Forms: The copied data can then be pasted into the relevant fields of another form or record.

Supported Fields

Fields and Controls: Copy and paste functionality typically supports various types of fields and controls, including text fields, numeric fields, date fields, and other data entry controls.

Bulk Copy and Paste:

Multiple Records: In some cases, users may be able to copy data from multiple records simultaneously and paste it into corresponding fields in another form or record. To select multiple rows and/or columns, in the data range you wish to copy select the top left cell and then while holding down the 'Shift' key select the bottom right cell in the range. Once selected, a blue box will appear around the data. To paste multiple records, paste into the upper most left cell where data will be entered.

Data Validation

Validation Rules: The system may include validation rules to ensure that pasted data meets the required format and validation criteria.
